Common Questions
Planning
Your Trip
We’ve tried to cover some of the common questions we get on a day to day basis. If there’s any more information you need, or something you’re unsure of, then please do let us know by getting in touch.
Where are you based?
All of our trips depart from Lynmouth Harbour.
What vessel do you use?
We use a Severn Searcher 10meter twin engine humber offshore RIB.
How many people does it carry?
Our boat can carry up to 12 people.
How often do you go out?
Our trips depend largely on the weather and tide times. You can keep up to date through our Facebook page or you’ll see all availability when making a booking online.
How many different tours do you offer?
We have three main tours; our Sea Bird Sanctuary, Lee Bay or Lighthouse and Porlock Weir with time ashore. Each lasts from 30 minutes to 2 hours. For full information on each tour please visit their dedicated page on our website.
What are you likely to see?
Depending on the tour you take, the weather and of course, the whereabouts of wildlife when we head out, you are likely to see a range of animals including seals, as well as some stunning coastline.
Will I get wet?
This will depend on the weather and conditions. There can be some sea spray from our RIB, so we recommend wearing a waterproof / windproof jacket.
What is the age range for passengers?
We are able to welcome passengers from seven years old. Children tickets apply up to the age of 12.
What is the minimum group size
We need at least four people to run one of our tours.
Do you private charters?
Private charters are available at £300 per hour. For more information or to arrange a private charter, please get in touch with us.
